The plugin runs your show; the cloud is an optional half that adds phones and remote control. Here is exactly what crosses between them.
What the rig sends
Your karaoke catalogue, as ids, titles, artists, and albums. Your singer roster: the names, whether you have verified them, your notes, and per song the key, how many times, and when last. A live snapshot of the show while it is running, which is the rotation, first names, what is playing, waits, and the venue name, so the request page and the host remote can show it. A check-in once a minute with the rig name, platform, and plugin version.
What never leaves
File paths. Not one. The catalogue we hold has no column for them, by design, so we could not store a path if we wanted to. Your music files and your video never leave your machine either: we are not a streaming service and nothing is uploaded.
There is no analytics beacon, no location, and no address book. We do not know where your rig is.
The one exception, and how it is handled
A cloud backup is a snapshot of your setup, and that does contain paths and singer details. It is encrypted on your machine before it is uploaded, only your rig can fetch it back, and the dashboard shows nothing but a label, a size, and a date. We hold a file we cannot read.
Who sees what
A singer sees their own history and nothing else. A host sees the singers who have sung with them, across their own rigs only. Rosters and history never cross between hosts.
What is public
Your host page and your upcoming dates: that is the point of them. Tonight's request page is reachable by its address but asks search engines not to index it, and an address with nobody behind it just returns a not found.
