Following is how you keep up with a host without checking their page.
Following
Open a host's page on FireballKaraoke.com and press Follow. It is free and the host is not charged for it either.
Your followed hosts appear under Hosts in your account, each with a live pill when they are on right now and their next few dates underneath.
What you get told
When a host you follow goes live tonight. A reminder on the day of a show they have scheduled. That is the lot for email.
Inside your account there are a few more: when you are coming up soon in the rotation, when a song of yours is approved or declined, and when a name change goes through. Those appear on your notifications page and never in your inbox.
Turning it down
Each host you follow has its own two switches, for the live notice and the reminder, so you can follow ten hosts and only be emailed about two.
There are also account wide switches on your profile page if you would rather have none of it by email. Notifications still land in your account either way, so nothing is lost, it is just quieter.
Unfollowing
From the same card. It takes nothing away from your history: the shows you sang at stay in your history whether you follow that host or not.
